国际高中|秀出自我 Show Your English、 Show Yourself - 徐州华顿国际学校
为了进一步激发学生的英语学习兴趣，为同学们搭建展示英语应用能力的平台，丰富同学们的课余生活，7月1日，由国际高中部承办的徐州华顿国际学校第一届国际高中英语节圆满落幕。外教David, Thom, Andrew以及雅思老师Emily担任此次活动的评委并为获奖选手颁奖。
Show yourself
In order to further stimulate students' interest in English learning, build a platform for students to show their applied English ability, and enrich students' after-school life, the first International High School English Festival of Walton International School Xuzhou, successfully took place on July 1. Foreign teachers David, Thom, Andrew and IELTS teacher Emily were the judges of the event and presented prizes to the winners.
节目正式开始之前，外教主管David与同学们分享了英语学习的技巧和经验，并鼓励更多的同学参与到英语节的活动中来。国际高二姜凝同学的诗朗诵《再别康桥》正式拉开了英语节节目的帷幕。
Before the program began, David shared his English learning skills and experience with the students and encouraged more students to participate in the English Festival. The English festival began with Coco’s poetry recitation "Farewell to Cambridge".

在英语节活动中，同学们大展身手，秀出自我。节目形式多种多样，从不同方面展现出同学们的英语能力。有声情并茂的诗歌朗诵，有惟妙惟肖的舞台剧表演，有婉转悠扬的歌曲演唱，有配合默契的片段配音。整个活动秩序井然有序，过程中不乏高潮涌现，现场气氛十分热烈，场下观众用热情的掌声表达了对表演者的支持和鼓励。
In the English festival activity, students showed themselves. The program contained a wide variety of art forms, showing students' English ability from different aspects. There was expressive poetry, vivid stage plays, melodious songs and precise dubbing. The whole event gradually built to a climax with an exciting, yet warm and joyful atmosphere. The audience expressed their support and encouragement to the performers with enthusiastic applause and cheering.

经过四位评委的评定，最终国际高二刘思彤、顾潇宇的歌曲《Wonder You》获得一等奖，国际高一陈韦衡等8位同学的歌曲《The Sound of Silence》获得二等奖，国际高二姜凝同学的诗朗诵《再别康桥》获得三等奖。
After the evaluation of the four judges, the song "Wonder You" by Selin and Christina won the first place. The song "The Sound of Silence" by the group from grade 10 the second, and the poem recitation by Coco won the third-place prize.

最后国际高中部主任刘相涛对英语节活动做了总结，并对同学们未来的学习提出了期许。通过此次英语节活动，同学们展示了自己的风采，在欢笑中收获了自信，更在比赛中学习、成长，也是同学们对自身的英语实力有了更客观的认识。
At last, Liu Xiangtao, director of the international high school div, made a summary of the English Festival activities and put forward expectations for the students' future study. Through the English Festival activities, students showed their elegance, gained confidence, learned about themselves and grew in the competition. At the same time, students now have a more objective understanding of their English strength.
外教David认为，在英语节活动中，我们欣赏到的各种表演都是非常不同和独特的。它真的给了学生们一个机会来分享他们的热情和兴趣。表演者们自己要站在同伴和老师面前演出，这是一个不小的壮举。同时，David认为所有同学都应该理解站在聚光灯下的重要性，由此获得的信心将会使他们终身受益。
The variety of acts that we got to appreciate were all very different and unique. It really gave students a chance to share their passions and interests with all in attendance. The performers themselves got to stand up in front of their peers and teachers which is no small feat. I hope they all understand how important it is to be in the spotlight, and the confidence gained that they can take with them into the future.
