The DP2 Theory of Knowledge Exhibition went well last Friday. The DP2 students hosted the presentation, including three international students who joined in via video chat from different countries around the world. This event was an opportunity for the DP2 class to show off one of their important ToK assessments, The ToK Exhibition, to the AIC community. Parents, teachers, and other students participated in the question-and-answer session, as the DP2 class was given the opportunity to share their ideas and their critical thinking skills.

[Artwork Exhibition Report
The Alcanta International College Student Artwork Exhibition was held in the school lobby, starting from November 1st. This exhibition collected nearly a hundred excellent artworks from Foundation Years, A-Level and the AP programs. The exhibition was divided into six themes, namely "Indians and Feathers", "Creative Ultralight Clay DIY", "Fluttering Colors", "Clay Sculptures", " Chinese Art Paper" and "Seed Stickers", covering many types of painting, design, and arts and craft. These artworks were filled with various forms and novel ideas, which demonstrated the creative and innovative ability and good artistic quality of our students. Ms. Vicky, the initiator of the exhibition, said “the original intention of the exhibition was to record the growth process of the students, so that everyone could show the artistic side. I'm glad they did it. Well done to all of our students! I think it's a good phenomenon that some students cared about whether their art works were selected or not. It inspired them to enjoy the sea of art." When talking about the future plans of the Art Department, Ms. Vicky also mentioned that "the art exhibition should be bigger; the expression form should be more creative, and a stronger artistic atmosphere will be built in AIC. "
[Assembly on Patriotism爱国主义教育] The student assembly theme conducted in the theater last week was “patriotism”. Winnie organized the AP1 students to promote and inherit the patriotic spirit in various forms, such as speech, singing, and dancing. The students said emotionally at the assembly, “The motherland is our home. Our motherland ensures that we can grow up healthily. Only with love can our country be stronger. Only to protect our motherland can our life be more prosperous and happier.” AIC takes the assembly as an opportunity to carry out patriotic education activities to guide students to establish a correct outlook on the world, life, and values, and stimulate their patriotism.
[National Intangible Cultural Heritage Enters the Campus
On the morning of November 3rd, Guangdong Embroidery, a national Intangible Cultural Heritage, entered AIC campus under the planning of Intangible Cultural Heritage Lab CAS group in the library. Who says international school students can't embroider? AIC students were extremely interested. They took a needle and thread and worked patiently. In the process of needling and threading, their works gradually took shape. This exhibition provided an opportunity for teachers and students to learn the culture of Guangdong embroidery and feel the charm of Chinese traditional craft. Many thanks to Averie, Alice Yuan, Evangeline, Norren and Samantha for organizing the exhibition.
