Joyful Sports Limitless Joy

随着疫情逐渐好转，伴随着春暖花开的四月，我们一年级的萌娃们也迎来了他们小学阶段的第一次“趣味运动会”，三四五年级进行了田径运动会。

As life in Shanghai improves and spring approaches, our Grade 1 students ushered in their very first Fun Sports Day. Students in Grades 3, 4 and 5 will enjoy their meeting later in the week.

趣味运动会：

Fun Sports Day

趣味运动会分为8个项目，每个小朋友们都选取了他们最拿手的运动活动，瞧，他们喜气洋洋的脸庞，伴随着春日的芳香，熠熠发光。随着一声哨响，各班的运动员也准备就绪。

先看到障碍投球项目，小朋友认真的盯着筐，瞄准目标，投进筐中。

The Grade 1 Fun Sports Day involved eight challenging and fun-filled events, and each Grade 1 student participated in at least one. Look at their happy faces shining with the fragrance of spring! With a whistle, the little athletes from each class were ready to go!

Let's look first at the Cross Jungle. The children attentively aimed for the basket and attempted to throw the ball inside it.

我们的车轮滚滚项目好热闹啊，他们几几分为一组，一起协作着往前走，仔细听，前面的小小领头羊不时的在引导着小伙伴们往哪个方向走呢。

Wow! Wheel Rolling was so popular! Students were divided into groups and worked together to move forward. The little leaders ahead confidently guided their teammates.

小小搬运工们也准备就绪了，瞧，他们攒足了力气了呢。

The Lovely Ball Transfers were also ready. See how they gather up their strength!!!

这边的项目真有意思，小朋友们大手牵着小手，互相传递着力量。

Look over there! How interesting! They were holding hands and passing their power on to each other.

再往那边看看，地上铺满了一张张纸片，他们在做什么呢，原来是连连看呀，瞧一瞧孩子们，锁紧眉头，不光有体力锻炼，脑力也得跟上。

And look over there! Why were their pieces of paper lying on the ground? Oh, it's Pair Pic Puzzle! The Grade 1 students not only exercised their physical strength, but also their brainpower.

这个小朋友在做什么，怎么把自己装进了袋子里往前跳呢，瞧他们的脸上虽冒着细微的汗珠，但仍然开心的往前砰砰跳跳真可爱。

What is this they are doing? Why did they jump forward by putting themselves in a bag? The sweat on their faces could never keep them from jumping forward!

到了我们最能体现凝聚力的时刻了，这边的球已经传来了，不能走神，快点，接下去。在孩子们的加油声中，小球一个一个的传递下去。

It's time for us to show our teamwork! The ball is being passed! Focus! Be quick! Keep passing the ball! With the students cheering, the ball was passed along one by one.

到了我们最激动的时刻了，孩子们被这些毛毛虫吸引住了，一点呐喊，一边也跟着疯狂起来。

Finally, the most exciting moment arrived! The children were attracted by the Caterpillars and shouted wildly along with them.

田径运动会：

Track and Field Event

选手们一丝不苟，气宇轩昂，精神抖擞，象征了协和人团结奋进，勇往直前的精神风貌。在赛场上，运动员的身影成为了最亮丽的风景线，他们挥洒汗水、努力拼搏，点燃青春激情，展现生命活力！

The little athletes were imposing and highly spirited, symbolizing the spirit of SUIS Qingpu and moving forward with courage. On the field, they formed a most beautiful scenery, sweating and fighting hard, and demonstrating youthful passion and vitality!

随着一声枪鸣迸发，几道身影在一瞬间冲了出去，看台上涌起一浪又一浪的尖叫和欢呼。

起跑，鞋底与跑道擦出闪亮的火花，发令枪青烟未散，选手如离弦之箭，似起飞之鹰。

加速，少年在操场上肆意而张扬地奔跑着，他们铆足了劲，全身心投入到比赛之中。

With the loud, cracking sound of the starting pistol, several figures burst out in an instant, and waves of screams and cheers surged from the crowd.

READY SET GO! Sparks flew as the soles of their shoes scraped against the track. The smoke from the starting pistol had not yet dissipated, and the athletes shot off like arrows taking flight.

Speed Up! The young athletes ran wildly and bravely on the track, putting all their effort into the race.

不长不短的距离，需要的是全身心全程投入，自始至终选手们都在拼全力，无论第几名，只要冲过终点，你们都会得到观众的赞美和鼓励。因为在观众的心中，这些运动员都发挥出了不屈不挠，顽强拼搏的体育精神，他们是运动场上的英雄，是运动赛场上的“刘翔”。

800米是考验选手耐力和毅力的项目。虽不如短跑那样让人兴奋，但是绝对比短跑更加让人感动。在比赛中，选手面临的不仅是身体上的考验，更是心理上的考验。参加这个项目的选手们真正体现了努力拼搏，永不服输的运动精神。

再看那田赛赛场上的选手们也个个摩拳擦掌，毫不示弱。他们面对目标踏出坚定的步伐，跳了一次又一次，这种不断超越自我的精神是未来成长的基石。

Finishing the races required all one’s heart and soul. No matter what place they finished in, they would receive praise and encouragement from the audience because in the hearts of the audience, they had demonstrated indomitable and persevering sportsmanship, making them heroes on the sports field just like Liu Xiang. Liu is one of China's most successful athletes and has emerged as a cultural icon – he is the only male athlete in history to be the 110-metre hurdles World Record Holder, World Champion and Olympic Champion.

The 800-metre run is a test of endurance and perseverance for athletes. Although it may not be as exciting as the 100-metre sprint, it will definitely test one’s mental and physical abilities. In this race, athletes face not only physical but also psychological challenges. The athletes who participate in the event truly embody the spirit of hard work, perseverance, and never giving up.

Looking at the athletes on the field, each one was ready to go. They stepped forward confidently toward their target and jumped again and again. This continuous surpassing of oneself is the cornerstone of growth.

参加投掷的选手们互相竞争，球从手里抛出，在空中划过一条优美的抛物线，留下精彩的痕迹。每一次投掷，都是努力的结果！

The athletes participating in the throwing events competed by throwing stuffed balls in beautiful trajectories. Every throw was the result of hard work!

场上，孩子们挥洒汗水，释放激情；场外，老师和家长志愿者们加油呐喊，助力守护；还有忙碌的裁判……

On the field, students showed unleashed passion. Off the field, teachers, parents, and volunteers cheered with support.

经过激烈的角逐，运动会在欢呼声落下帷幕。

每一次的运动会，喜欢孩子们尽情地奔跑跳跃，开怀大笑，

更喜欢他们为彼此加油和喝彩的模样。

运动竞技的精神是“更高，更快，更强”，

而我们还要加上“更快乐，更健康，更团结”！

After intense competition, the sports day came to a close amidst cheers and the cheerful laughter of the students. It is hoped that through this sports day, students' interest and enthusiasm for sports was widely and persistently enhanced, laying a good foundation for their lifelong physical education and promoting their healthy and comprehensive development, both physically and psychologically.
