常外附属双语学校:小学部数学课程教研活动
On March 10th, the Mathematics Group of CBS Primary School carried out the first round of curriculum teaching and research activity this semester. Mr Chen Jianwei, the mathematics teaching and research member of Xinbei Primary School, visited and guided the mathematics teaching and research work. Shen Yuhan from CBS PYP department taught "Understanding the Abacus" for Grade Two, and Zhang Ting from CBS PYP department taught "Playing with the Hundred Number Table" for grade one. They led the students through dynamic and enjoyable classes.
沈煜晗老师通过介绍新朋友——算盘,激发了学生们学习的兴趣和积极性,使学生迅速融入到了课堂学习的氛围中。学生能够在自主学习中,逐步清晰了对算盘各部分的名称,并能主动开口去介绍这个新朋友。此后,沈煜晗老师还带领学生们动手拨珠,在连续拨珠中,去探寻如何表示数,发现上珠、下珠的奥秘,赋予孩子们无限的成就感。
By introducing a new friend, the abacus, Teacher Shen Yuhan aroused the students' interest and enthusiasm in learning and made them quickly integrate into the classroom learning atmosphere. Using an independent learning strategy, students gradually identified the parts of the abacus and took the initiative to introduce this new friend. After this, Teacher Shen Yuhan led the students to “dial” the beads to explore how they represent numbers, discover the mystery of the beads, and have a sense of profound achievement.
张婷老师在课堂伊始,就以游戏闯关的形式吸引了孩子们的眼球。从认识百数表,到探索百数表中的规律,一年级的学生都能欢快地上台带领同学们一起读数、并流利地发表自己的见解,这充分体现了数学学习在学中想,想中做的理念。百数表拼图把课堂氛围烘托到了最高点,不仅展现了学习小组的团结合作力,更是激发了孩子勇于探索、积极思考的热情,学生们收获十分丰富。
Teacher Zhang Ting began class with some fun games to attract the students’ attention. Then, they broke down the meaning of the number table and explored its rules. During the process, the first grade students began to enthusiastically read, explain its meaning, and fluently express their own opinions about the numbers table. The process showed the power of the philosophy of learning to think, which leads thinking to do. The lesson not only showed the students how they can successfully cooperate in learning but also inspired them to explore independently and think positively.
课后,教研员陈建伟老师和数学组老师们对两节课进行了细致的点评。
首先充分肯定了我校学生的风采,学生在课堂中积极交流、思维敏捷,课堂参与度十分高。
其次也对两位老师的课堂亲和力与课堂设计都给予了肯定和科学的建议,令大家都受益匪浅。这次教研活动,充分体现了小学部学生和老师的风采,未来可期!
After the two classes, Mr. Chen Jianwei, the teaching and research staff, and the teachers of the mathematics group made detailed comments about the two classes. First of all, they praised the effort and attitude of the students. The students actively communicated in class, thought quickly, and participated at a high level. At the same time, Mr. Chen also gave positive and scientific suggestions to improve the classroom atmosphere and design for the two teachers, which benefited everyone. This teaching and research activity reflected well the intent, hopes, and plans of the PYP department, and the department and all the participants found rich material they can use to grow.
