本学年,上海诺美学校音乐特色课程新增A Level音乐、音乐创作、指挥基础、音乐教育概论等六门音乐课程,累计拥有近20门音乐课程,满足各类学生对音乐课程的需求。
另外,学校也经常提供校内外舞台表演机会,帮助学生积累舞台经验,展现学生的音乐才能。作为一所拥有音乐特色课程的学校,上海诺美学校拥有优越的音乐学习环境、专业的音乐表演设施设备。
设施包括拥有可容纳800人的专业级剧院,Piano Lab,作曲室,排练厅,练琴房,舞蹈教室等完善的音乐学习场所,满足不同学生的音乐学习需求。
上海诺美学校Talent Show上学生舞蹈表演除此之外,学校目前开设了音乐理论、舞蹈、舞台表演、舞台场务、戏剧、合唱队、乐队、乐器合奏、指挥等丰富的音乐课程及社团活动...为了满足日常课程要求,上海诺美学校还专门配备近20种东西方乐器及舞台表演所需的设施设备,帮助各类学生对乐器学习及舞台表演的需求。

1.舞台演出及专业比赛
上海诺美学校每年分别举办秋季4场,春季2场,共六场音乐盛典活动;所有音乐活动曲日都是根据上海诺美学校音乐会中学生的个体需求而量身定制的。让我们来盘点一下12月的音乐活动,让我们在优美的音乐声中2021年画上一个圆满的句号。
诺美学子全新演绎
经典歌舞剧《妈妈咪呀》
12月9日-10日,上海诺美学校近30名来自不同国家的学生在戏剧老师Ana老师的指导下,为全体师生、家长献上了两场精彩的音乐剧演出。
他们重新演绎了经典百老汇音乐剧《妈妈咪呀》,为全场观众献上了一场视觉盛宴!从主演到舞蹈演员、从合唱团到乐队、从舞台设计到化妆、到现场笑容满面的领位员、全部由学生担任。
学生们精彩的演出展现了他们对表演艺术的热爱和出众的才艺。
新年音乐盛典
作为2021年的最后一场音乐活动,新年音乐会饱含大家的期待。

此次音乐盛典活动中,学生们准备了二十余台演出,为到场嘉宾们献上了精彩绝伦的表演。
无论是如百灵鸟般婉转清亮的歌喉,还是指尖娴熟拨弄的演奏,都让人眼前一亮,赞不绝口。
台上的“小艺术家们”演奏了一首首圣诞经典曲目,让全场观众情不自禁的在台下跟唱,全场观众的热情的歌声,瞬间将本次音乐会推上一个新的高潮。
2.音乐证书项目
上海诺美学校提供两种音乐证书项目,在完成高中学业的同时,超额完成音乐课程的学生可以获得音乐证书作为其高中文凭的补充,以提升获得国际知名院校录取的可能性。
3.音乐计算研究实验室
音乐计算研究实验室的设置旨在帮助学生研究音乐的不同领域。音乐研究允许学生使用创新的方法剖析音乐的各个方面并将其作为自己的学习主题。在诺美音乐计算研究实验室,学生可进行具有艺术性、音乐性、原创性和文化传统的研究。学生还可专注于音乐历史、理论或表演实践中针对特定内容的研究。甚至从事跨学科领域的学习,例如音乐和数学,音乐和心理学,音乐和文学以及音乐和教育。音乐研究的目的是撰写可供参考及应用的原创材料。参与研究的学生可在国内和国际学术会议上展示他们的研究成果;也可在论文集和同行评审期刊中发表论文。

Music Courses Offered at NAIS
The core of international education focuses on the cultivation of transferable skills to support students’ success in higher education and post-educational professional world. NAIS uses a research-based data-driven tier system to standardize the curriculum and instruction in music education. Courses offered for students in Foundation prepare students for high school studies. Courses offered in grades 9-12 structure under a three-tier system.
Tier-III are College Preparatory (CP) courses designed for high school students to expand their knowledge and cultivate their interests in music.
Tier-II courses are Honors (Hon), Advanced Placement (AP), and University Equivalent (UE) courses, which prepare students to explore university-level content while developing transferable skills required in higher education.
Tier-I courses are independent for-credit university courses and certificate programs, which allow students to network and study with university faculty and music industry professionals.
NAIS Music Certification Programs
Students can receive supplementary credentials with their high school diplomas for exceeding expectations in their music studies. There are two certificate programs available at NAIS, which can boost one’s chances of being accepted for selective universities.
Music Performance
NAIS has a diversified performance program that includes an instrumental ensemble and a choir.
Students perform a mix of classical, popular, and traditional music.
Students choose the repertoire that they want to learn and play for concerts.
Students perform music at in-school and out-of-school events.
No previous performance experience is necessary. Every student in school can enroll and participate in an ensemble or choir.
Students can integrate Western and Eastern cultures by playing Chinese traditional instruments in the ensemble. For example, erhu or guzheng.
Students can perform on electronic instruments. For example, bass guitar and keytar.
NAIS holds a total of 6 concerts every academic year – 4 concerts in the Fall semester and 2 concerts in the Spring semester.
Students are also encouraged to perform solo and participate in out-of-school music events, activities, and competitions.
All music is arranged for NAIS concerts based on each student’s individual musical needs.
Music Computation Lab
Music Computation Lab is a place for students to research different topics of music. Music research allows students to use innovative approaches to dissect various aspects of music as a subject of study. At NAIS, students can conduct research on artistry, musicianship, originality, and cultural traditions. Students can also focus on content-specific research in music history, theory, or performance practice. Additionally, students can work with interdisciplinary fields, such as music and mathematics, music and psychology, music and literature, and music and education.
The purpose of music research is to create original material for others to use and apply in practice. Students involved in research get to present their works at national and international conferences. Students can likewise publish their papers in proceedings and peer-reviewed journal publications.
Practical experience
NAIS is dedicated to integrating academic and performative music studies into a practical working environment. The process of holistic music education allows students to test their skills and abilities outside the classroom in real-world situations. These include:
Conducting opportunities for students to lead NAIS instrumental ensemble and choir
Leadership roles in Music club and Popular Music club
Tutoring opportunities for those interested in education
Internship opportunities in music education, technology, psychology, and performance.
Concert management and preparation of program notes, booklets, and event flyers.
Experience in music arranging for instrumental ensemble and choir.
Working with university students at undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as networking and collaborations with university faculty.
