Read And Live In An Adventurous Life

当我们在讨论阅读时，我们在讨论什么？是书中的人物，是故事的情节，是生活的启示，是现实的交汇。在阅读中我们见到无限可能，我们也因而得以自由成长。

那些书本里的探险让我们紧张又神往，那些书本里的故事和榜样则让我们学会勇敢。

What do we talk about when we talk about reading? We talk about the characters in the book, the plot, the revelation, and the intersection of the story and the reality. In reading, we see infinite possibilities, therefore we are able to grow freely. The adventures in the books make us nervous and fascinated, while the stories and roles make us learn to be brave.

二月如同冬季的一场寒雨离我们远去了。在二月，世外的孩子们进行了什么阅读？他们阅读了哪些作品、又获得了什么启示？本月的英语阅读推荐我们请到了四个年级的英语阅读佼佼者来分享他们的经历和体验。

Ramona Quimby, Age 8, written by Beverly Cleary

The book I’m going to recommend is called Ramona Quimby, Age 8, written by Beverly Cleary .

The story is about the life and experiences of Ramona as she starts her third grade at a new school. She is full of enthusiasm and energy and gets in trouble often.

It is a fun and jolly story filled with important lessons about family, kindness and the power of positive thinking. Ramona and the various little issues she faces shows me that I am not alone in dealing with my troubles. Growing up isn’t always easy, but we can handle these challenges just like Ramona.

I highly recommend this book to the second and third graders. Hope you enjoy the book !

我推荐的这本书叫《雷梦拉八岁》，作者是贝芙莉·克莱瑞。

这个故事是关于雷梦拉在一所新学校开始她的三年级的生活和经历。她充满热情和活力，经常遇到麻烦。

Twenty Thousand Leagues under The Sea, written by Jules Verne

Twenty Thousand Leagues under The Sea was written by Jules Verne, a great French novelist in 19th century. He’s also known as the “Father of the Science Fiction”. He wrote many adventure novels, including Around the World in 80 Days, Journey to the Center of the Earth and The Mysterious Island.

This book is about an adventure under the sea. Professor Aronnax, Canadian harpooner Ned Land and the professor’s servant Conseil attempted to pursue a monster in the North Pacific Ocean. However, they fell into the ocean , and they were rescued by Captain Nemo, who is the commander of a submarine named Nautilus. They started an wonderful undersea journey together, from the Northern Pacific to the North Pole. In the journey, they experienced many amazing undersea landscape. They also came across many dangerous things including sharks, sperm whales, giant octopus, icebergs, etc.

Among all these characters, I like Captain Nemo the best. He was brave, integrity and intelligent. I also like Conseil who was loyal and kind. The most impressive thing of this story is the author’s imagination. He depicted an unknown world by his language and imagination.

I really like this book, and I strongly recommend you to read it.

《海底两万里》是由法国伟大的小说家儒勒凡尔纳于19世纪创作的一部小说。凡尔纳被称作是“科幻小说之父”。他曾经写过许多冒险小说，包括《八十天环游地球》，《地心游记》和《神秘岛》等。

这本书描述了一个海底探险的故事。阿罗纳克斯教授、鱼叉手尼德兰和教授的仆人康赛尔试图在北太平洋上抓住一只“怪兽”，却不小心跌入海中。他们被尼摩船长救起，而尼摩船长正是一艘名为“鹦鹉螺”号的潜水艇艇长。于是这四人开始了一场既危险又奇妙壮观的旅程。他们乘坐这艘“鹦鹉螺”号潜水艇，从北太平洋出发，直到到北极，途经太平洋、印度洋、红海、地中海和大西洋等海域。在路途中，发生了许多常人难以想象的故事。在旅途中，他们不仅欣赏到了令人惊叹的海底风光，也经历了鲨鱼、抹香鲸、巨型章鱼、冰山等等种种危险。

在这几个故事人物里，我最喜欢的是尼摩船长，他勇敢、智慧、正直。我也很喜欢仆人康赛尔，他忠诚善良。故事里给我印象最深的就是作者的想象力，他用自己的想象力和语言描绘了一个当时人们并不了解的水下世界，真的非常了不起。所以我强烈推荐大家去读一读这本《海底两万里》。
