The summer vacation is coming to the end, while the new semester is approaching.

“是否选择住宿”成为很多家长和学生纠结的问题。有些孩子在家里被管束久了，急于奔向“自由”，但又担心室友不好相处，不习惯住宿生活；有些家长因为电子产品整天和孩子斗得身心疲惫，想通过老师严管而物理“戒断”，又会担心孩子住宿后会和自己的关系日渐疏远。

"Should I board at school" has become a question for many parents and students. When it comes to boarding, new students and parents may feel the experience will be a fresh start and be full of expectations, or they may be full of doubts and concerns. 一 硬件设施

Facilities

寄宿部座落于校园4号楼——明斋，整栋建筑分为A、B两座，A座为男生宿舍，B座为女生宿舍。建筑布局科学合理，男女分幢、体系分层。

The boarding center is located in Mingzhai (building 4 on the campus). The whole building is divided into two blocks：A and B. Block A is the boys' dormitory and block B is the girls' dormitory. The layout is well-planned with separate areas for boys and girls. 

宿舍楼各类消防、安全设施齐全，所有公共区域均装有高清监控系统，学校中控室专人24小时监控，全天候360°无死角守护学生们的安全。整栋宿舍建筑装有智能门禁管理系统，各楼层独立管理。各宿舍装有电子锁，学生在规定的时间段内刷卡进出各自的楼层、各自的宿舍，形成具有独立安全、和谐温馨的生活空间。

The dormitory fire and safety infrastructure is readily seen，while all public areas are equipped with a high-definition security monitoring system. The central control room has staff on duty 24 hours a day, with 360 ° protection of the students. “明斋”是绿色环保建筑，通过了美国绿色建筑委员会的权威认证并获得LEED金奖，建筑采用地源热泵采暖制冷，新风系统、中央空调一应俱全。此外，全楼还配有空气质量检测系统，当室内空气出现异常时，检测系统会发出报警提醒，以便调试，确保孩子们呼吸到新鲜空气，保障身体健康。学校技术人员创新性地将新风净化系统与加湿系统、温控系统结合起来，使宿舍在冬暖夏凉的同时，还能感受到一丝温润与清香。

Mingzhai is a green building, certified by the U.S. Green Building Committee and as attained the LEED Gold Award. The building adopts ground source heat pump heating and cooling, a fresh air system, and central air conditioning. In addition, the entire building is equipped with an air quality detection system. When the indoor air changes, the detection system will send an alarm to prompt refining to ensure that children breathe fresh air and their health is protected.

寄宿部办公室位于四楼A、B座连接处。成长导师与学生们居住生活在相同楼层，随时为学生提供帮助，并能够应对夜间紧急情况。

The Boarding Center office is located at the junction of Block A and Block B on the fourth floor. The tutors live on the same floor as the students, providing help to students at any time, including any emergencies at night.

所有房间配备了齐全的学习、生活设施，以及环保舒适的床上用品。优质环保的实木床、课桌椅、壁柜等家具，共同搭配成亮眼的室内环境，每个房间都是独立卫浴，且干湿分离，学生拎包即可入住。

All rooms are equipped with complete learning and living facilities, as well as environmentally friendly and comfortable bedding. High quality and environment-friendly solid wood beds, desks and chairs, closets and other furniture are combined to create a bright indoor environment. Each room has an independent bathroom with dry and wet facilities separated. Students can thus check in with their luggage immediately.

每个楼层还提供了免费的洗衣及烘干设备，足量保证使用，帮助学生锻炼生活技能。每个楼层都设有专门的自习室、医疗隔离室、成长导师房、公共卫生间和直饮热（温）饮水机。全方位的硬件配置，给孩子带来贴心的安全感和归属感。静谧的隔音电话仓，为学生跟家长及时联系，说悄悄话提供了便利。

Adequate free washers and driers are also provided on each floor to help students improve their life skills. In addition，a special self-study room, a medical isolation room，a tutor's room, a public wash room and a hot (warm) water dispenser are provided on each floor. The facilities give students an intimate sense of security and belonging. The quiet soundproof telephone room makes it convenient for students to contact their parents and hold private conversations.

二 双导师管理体系

Dual-Tuitor Management System

在清香校园，寄宿生活从下午学部放学后开始。晚饭过后，孩子们开始晚间课程的学习，有自习课，有学术英语晚课，有主题夜活动等。每项课程都会有专门的老师负责。接下来给大家介绍一下双导师负责制的内容吧！

In Tsingxiang campus, boarding life begins after school in the afternoon. After dinner, the children begin to learn evening courses: Self-study classes, academic English evening classes, theme nights activities,etc. Special teachers are responsible for each course. “学术、成长双导师制”——是清香寄宿部独有的特色。每名清香住宿学生都有自己专属的学术导师和成长导师。学术导师主要由学校任课教师兼职担任，学术导师会及时了解孩子们每天的课业情况，督促孩子们按时完成作业，指导他们学会高效的学习方法，培养孩子们合理规划时间和独立解决学习中问题的能力。成长导师不只是朋友、老师，也是学生在学校的“家长”。导师们与孩子们吃住在一起，秉持“和善而坚定”的原则，帮助学生养成良好的行为习惯，培养他们独立的生活技能和与团队成员合作共赢的能力。

"Academic & life mentor system" is a unique feature of Tsingxiang boarding center. Each boarding student has his or her own academic mentor and life mentor. Academic mentors are mainly part-time discipline teachers in the school, who will timely learn the children's daily homework, urge the children to complete their homework on time, guide them to use efficient learning strategies, and develop the children's time management skills and independence. Life mentors are not only friends and teachers, but also "parents" in school. The mentors live and eat alongside with students. Adhering to the principle of "To be kind and firm", they help students develop good habits and independent life skills as well as the ability to cooperate and achieve the "win-win" situation with their cohort.

三 英语晚课

English Evening Class

外语学习是循序渐进的，需要日积月累。有些英语基础薄弱的学生参加校外培训机构的课程，不仅学费昂贵，而且时间有限，出行还未必方便。寄宿部每天在晚自习时间提供不同难度层次的“学术英语课程”和“出国考试课程”供学生选择。课程内容丰富，学习时间充足，综合性价比极高。我们的学术英语晚课讲师都是清香高水平的专业授课教师，通过综合考察学生的英语能力并结合学生的班级学习需求，为学生提供全面、科学的英语学习规划。

Foreign language learning is gradual and requires day to day exercises. Some students who are weak in English tend to attend off campus training courses, which is not only expensive, but also wastes time commuting. The boarding center provides both academic English courses and overseas examination courses such as TOEFL and SAT at different levels of difficulty during the evening self-study time every day. Our teachers of academic English evening classes are all professionals who have abundant experience   in THISDL, who provide comprehensive and scientific English learning planning for students by comprehensively examining students' English ability and combining students' learning needs.

四 主题夜活动

Theme Nights Activities

——北京的夏季夜晚，炎热却很活跃，总使人想运动起来，这时和伙伴们来一场泡沫水枪大战可太有意思了！六盏专业球场级LED灯将整个球场照得如同白昼一般，巨大的泡沫球、储水池、泡泡机......这边的小寄宿生们个个手拿一把水枪，你追我赶，追逐嬉戏；那边的大孩子们则小心托起泡沫球轻掷在空中，像漂浮的云朵，充满了浪漫氛围。灿烂的笑容闪耀在一个个脸庞上，欢快的笑声洒满球场。所有人都玩的酣畅淋漓、意犹未尽，争跑着来问老师下次活动的时间。

On summer nights in Beijing, the weather is very hot, which always urges students for outdoor activities. It's very interesting to have a bubble gun battle with friends at this time! On the runway, students are preparing for the tug of war. Everyone is eager to try. The leader of the first team shouts, encouraging the team and leading the team at the same time. ——篮球场和羽毛球场上又是另外一番景象。篮球3V3半场、羽毛球单打、双打......孩子们在球场上挥洒汗水、激烈对抗。他们锻炼的不单单是身体素质，更是坚强的意志、对抗的技巧、相互配合的能力和不服输的精神。

在平时的住宿期间，孩子们在学术导师的专业指导下，保质保量地完成当天的作业后，第三节课可以根据个人兴趣和需求自主选择参加主题夜活动。丰富的活动，自主的选择，孩子们能更加有效地利用晚间，合理分配自己的课余生活。“主题夜活动”内容包括“Night of Rubik’s Cube”、“Night of Light Music”、“Night of the Earth an Beyond”、“Night of Soul”、“Night of Fitness”、“Night of Badminton”、“Night of Basketball”、“Night of Wisdom”、“Franch Club”等。活动形式多样而有趣，主题夜活动吸引着孩子们的踊跃参与，也得到了孩子们的积极反馈，孩子们乐学乐玩，收获颇多。

六 规则制度

Rules

“无规矩，不成方圆”——在鼓励孩子发展天性、自由成长方面，我们是积极和开放的，但住宿毕竟是与人相处的集体生活，须有一定的规则和纪律，保证更多孩子的安全和利益。我们制定规则和制度的初衷和目的是为了让学生学会同伴之间相互尊重，对集体生活有规则感和边界感，能够更快的适应集体生活，以便将来更好的适应社会生活。

"No rules, no boundaries" - we are active and open-minded in encouraging children to develop their nature and grow up freely, but boarding life is a collective life to get along with others after all, and there must be certain rules and disciplines to ensure the safety and interests of more children. Our original purpose of formulating rules is to enable students to learn to respect each other among their peers, have a sense of rules and boundaries for collective life, and be able to adapt to collective life faster, so as to better adapt to social life in the future.

寄宿部《住宿学生手册》有一套完善的积分规定。每学期我们都会组织学生进行提案大会，鼓励学生参与制度建设。所以，这些规定是学生和老师一起参与讨论确定的内容，鼓励孩子按时作息、积极保持宿舍环境卫生、自觉遵守纪律，同时，也会对自习纪律、电子产品、文明行为严抓严管。在规则面前，导师的立场是坚定的，但处理方法又是和善有温度的，我们相信孩子们会在这种“和善而坚定”的教育氛围中，逐渐对宿舍生活产生归属感和安全感。

Every semester, we organize students to hold a proposal meeting to encourage everyoneeverone to participate in the construction. Therefore, these regulations are the consensus reached by both students and teachers who participated in the discussion. Children are encouraged to study and rest on time, actively maintain dormitory environmental sanitation, and consciously abide by discipline. At the same time, they also strictly control self-study discipline, electronic products, and civilized behavior. In front of the rules, mentors' position is firm, but the method is kind and warm.
