为了庆祝个人设计项目和MYP中学阶段课程的圆满完结，TWIS为十年级学生举办了一场特别的升学仪式。这场重大的升学仪式还象征着这批优秀的年轻人将以DP课程（国际文凭大学预科项目）作为起点开启全新的学习篇章——一段充满学术挑战性但非常值得的冒险之旅。

To celebrate the successful completion of the personal project and the Middle Years Programme, a special ceremony for our Grade 10 students is held in the presence of their parents, teachers and peers. This ceremony also symbolizes the beginning of a new chapter when these fine young men and women embark on a challenging but worthwhile adventure - the Diploma Programme.

下午好，欢迎来到一个新的起点。终于，在经历了漫长的3年，并在参与IB授权过程中经历一系列新冠疫情和经济危机带来的不确定性后，我非常自豪和宽慰地宣布，我们即将在TWIS开启中国最为卓越的DP项目之一，它涵盖了丰富多样的开创性学科，例如计算机科学、信息化社会、心理学、运动科学，可能还有……舞蹈。

这种成功是集体性的，没有学术团队和行政团队的恪尽职守是不可能达成的。但最为重要的是，如果没有家长和学生的信任与辛勤，一切的成就更不可能发生。谢谢他们，在曾经的困难时刻与我们共度时艰。

对于十年级学生而言，MYP中学项目即将告一段落，而我有幸亲眼见证了他们的飞跃成长——从怯于发言变得积极探究；从被动的信息接收者变成拥有批判性思维的人；从追随者变成领导者。

再次，祝贺大家顺利升学至国际文凭大学预科项目（DP）。请放心，我以DP团队的名义，承诺在未来两年内，竭尽所能陪伴学生成为最理想的学习者，并帮助他们顺利过渡到一所理想的大学，甚至达到更高的人生目标。升学愉快！^[译]

Good afternoon and welcome to a new beginning. Finally, after a very long 3 years journey and going through a series of health and economic crisis while engaging in the IB authorization process, I am very proud and relieved that we are now officially able to start with what I believe to be one of the best DP programs in China with groundbreaking subjects like Computer Science, Digital society, Psychology, Sports Science and possibly… Dance. 

However,  this success is collective and would not have been possible without the commitment of the Academic and the Administrative teams but most and foremost it would not have been possible without the trust and commitment of parents and students. They have not abandoned us in difficult times. 

The MYP chapter has come to a close, and I have personally witnessed a lot of growth in our MYP 5 students. From being relatively shy, they became inquirers. From being passive receivers of information, they became critical thinkers. From being followers they became leaders.

Again welcome to the Diploma Program, and rest assured that in the name of the entire DP team we will be here every step of the way for the upcoming two years to empower you to become the best learner you can be, and to help you transition to a good university and beyond. Congratulations to all of you!

于我们而言，今天是具有里程碑意义的一天——我们顺利地完成了MYP中学项目的学习之旅。我至今犹记得初次踏足TWIS校园的场景：学校基建尚未完成，还有很多工作等着我们去完善，比如把家具搬到教室，在图书馆里整理书籍。花了很长时间，我们才进入正常的校园生活。然而5个月后，突如其来的新冠疫情给世界带来重创，而我们也不得不因此转至长达四个月的线上课程。

第二年是美好的一年，我们完整地体验了一个学年的线下校园生活。在此阶段，我得到快速成长，也开始挖掘到更多学习的兴趣。在MYP中学项目的最后一年，我们着手开展个人设计项目，多元主题，反映着我们年级不重样的志趣与能力，如跳舞、烹饪、编程、组建篮球和运用3D技术进行创造等。作为学校里最高年级的学生，我们的一举一动总是备受较低年级学生的关注，我们扮演着“榜样”的角色，因此，我们应当把事情做正确。

今天，我们庆祝中学篇章的完结——作为第一批在TWIS完成MYP中学项目的学生，我们又将以第一届DP项目学生的身份，再次开辟一条新的道路。我们意识到身上所肩负的成为“榜样”的多重责任——有责任让父母以我们的成就为荣，有责任达到老师的期望。最重要的是，我们要学会对自己负责。我们应当尽自身最大努力去争取我们所希冀的机会，以及回馈父母、老师和朋友所赋予的爱与信任。是的，这是一趟激动人心的旅程，我们期待着在国际文凭大学预科项目中的冒险。毕竟，我们是开拓者！^[译]

Today we have reached a milestone, we have completed the MYP journey. I remember the first time I set foot at TWIS. The school was still under construction and many things had to be done. We had to bring furniture to the classrooms and organize the books in the library. It took quite some time before we settled into a normal routine. Five months later COVID wreaked havoc on the world. All of a sudden, we had to adapt to having lessons online for four long months.

Our second year here was a good year since we had no school interruptions. During that time, I had grown a lot and took more interest in my learning. In our last year in the MYP, we embarked on our Personal Project. The topics we chose reflected our varied interests and capabilities – dancing, cooking, programming, playing basketball, and creating with technology. Being the oldest students in the school, the younger ones seem to be always fascinated by what we do. It’s not easy because we feel that we are always being watched so we should always do the right thing. 

Today as we celebrate the end of our journey – being the first batch to finish the MYP at TWIS, we are about to start a new trial for the younger students again as the first DP cohort. However, we are conscious of our multiple responsibilities. We are responsible to continue being good role models to the younger students. We are responsible to make our parents proud of our accomplishments. We are responsible to meet the deadlines of our teachers. But above all, we are responsible for ourselves. We owe it to ourselves to be the best that we can be... given the opportunities we enjoy, and the love and trust our parents, teachers and friends give us unselfishly. Yes, it is an exciting journey, and we look forward to our new adventures in the Diploma Program. We are, after all, trailblazers!

我想在这里问大家一个问题：“你和谁在一起的时间最多？提示：不是你的父母，也不是你的朋友。”

是的，是我们的老师。他们与我们度过最多的时间——授课，督促我们做功课，和我们谈论人生，并分享他们的热情与兴趣所在。他们不仅仅是老师，还像是父母与朋友的可爱结合体。

当我们所做的事情达到令人满意的水平，老师会毫无保留地对称赞我们；当我们所做的事情未达到期望，老师对此感到失望或沮丧，因此他们知道我们有能力可以做得更好。

当我们在戏剧教室准备个人设计项目的展览时，Mr. Sebastien和Mr. PJ在晚上给我们带来了麦当劳和烤鸭，让我们得以保持足够的精力。我知道，这不是他们的职责，但他们为了我们仍然做到了，非常感谢这些额外的食物和关爱。

我们想感谢所有的老师，他们是我们生活的重要组成部分。感谢他们包容我们成长过程中的高低起伏，永不轻易放弃。感谢他们为我们所做的一切。  ^[译]

I want to ask everyone here this question: With whom do you spend more time? Hint: it’s not your parents and it’s not your friends. 

Yes, our teachers! They spend a lot of time with us - delivering lessons, pushing us to do our homework, talking to us about life, and sharing their passions and interests. Some of them are not just teachers, they are like parents and friends combined in one lovable bundle.

Sometimes teachers are pleased with what we do so they show us with compliments, but at other times teachers also get upset when we don’t do our work very well so they show their disappointment as they know we are capable of doing so much more.

When we were preparing the personal project exhibition in the drama room. Mr. Sebastien and Mr. PJ bought us McDonald’s and duck in the evening so we could keep up our strengths. It is not their duty but they still did it, and we really appreciated the extra food and attention.

We thank all our teachers here who are a big part of our lives. Thank you for putting up with our ups and downs, and not giving up on us. We are grateful for everything that you do for us! Thank you.

我很高兴站在这里与大家分享我的喜悦。我来TWIS已有三年之久，结交了许多朋友，并与学生和老师合作一起完成了很多有趣的项目。

借此机会，我想特别感谢父母，他们为我们提供了接受良好教育的机会。他们的支持是我们的动力所在。即使遇到困难，父母也会给予我们莫大的鼓励。例如，在我与父母谈论DP课程选择时，我不确定我选择的科目是否适合我。然而，当我告诉父母我的DP课程决定时，他们并没有反对，而是表示支持。他们认为这关乎我的未来，因此应该把选择权留给我自己。

我们马上就要进入DP课程的学习，会面临更多的学术挑战。由于需要在有限且紧张的时间内完成项目，我们或许会常常感觉到烦躁或不安，所以我想提前向所有的父母说声抱歉，但我们相信你们会理解。无论我们遇到多大的困难，你们都会支持我们。谢谢各位家长，我们很幸运有你们成为我们的父母。  ^[译]

I’m very happy that I can stand here in front of you to share my excitement. I have been in TWIS for three years and I‘m very happy that I’ve made a lot of friends and can cooperate with students and teachers to do a lot of interesting things. 

We would like to thank our parents because they are the ones who provided us the opportunity to enjoy a good education. Their support is our motivation. Our parents have given us the biggest encouragement, constantly supporting us when faced with difficulties. For example, in my conversation with my parents about the DP courses, I'm not sure whether the subjects I chose were appropriate for me. However, when I told my parents about my decision, they did not disagree but instead supported it. They believe that it is about my own future so I should decide on the subjects that I wanted to take. 

We are going to join DP soon, and there will be many academic challenges. We may feel irritated or depressed due to the many deadlines to meet. So I would like to say sorry to all the parents in advance but we know that you understand us, and you will support us no matter how difficult we can be at times. Thank you, parents. We are lucky to have you as our parents.

大家下午好。作为一名10年级学生Lily的家长，今天站在这个台上发言，深感荣幸！ 

东华文泽学校（TWIS）是一所拥有国际化优质师资力量，也是东莞目前唯一一所被授予IB全学段认证的国际学校，致力于培养学生的好奇心、创造力和批判性思维，使他们成为全面发展、独立自主的终生学习者。 

很荣幸，我家两个孩子能成为东华文泽学校学生中的一员，学校的教育方向是将中国传统价值观与国际框架下的标准教学方式相融合，授予学生IB课程体系与国际前沿教育概念相驱动下的探究式课程，很适合我们家俩小孩。因此当初我们坚定地选择文泽。

Good afternoon, everyone. As a parent of Lily, it is an honor to stand on the stage and share my insight with all of you.

As is known, TWIS is an international school with a multinational academic team, as well as the one and only IB continuum school officially authorized by PYP, MYP and DP in Dongguan. While developing students' curiosity, creativity and critical thinking, TWIS empowers my children to become well-rounded, independent and lifelong learners. 

I am pleased to have both of my children as members of TWIS. The school's educational orientation is a blend of traditional Chinese values and standard teaching frameworks of international education, delivering students an inquiry-based curriculum driven by the IB curriculum and cutting-edge international educational concepts, which is a perfect fit for both of my children. That's why we were so determined to choose TWIS.

With professional teachers and a great learning environment, TWIS is truly a place where each child is taught to his or her fullest potential. Both of my children have a great time every day. Most importantly, they are encouraged and recognized during the learning process, becoming more independent and confident. At the same time, they were able to broaden their horizons and get closer to the global culture. We believe in the school's mission and look forward to its future development.
