Ms. Christy Cai lived in Australia for nearly ten years since she was in high school. She achieved her bachelor’s degree in Business (major in Accounting and Economics) and a Master’s degree in Teaching (Early Years Education) both from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. During her master’s studies, she had various internship experiences in different age groups. After graduation, she obtained the Early Childhood Teacher Certificate from the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and she worked as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in a Melbourne local kindergarten for two years. After returning to China, she continued to focus on education and at the same time she also successfully obtained the qualification of Kindergarten Teacher in China. Christy worked as the homeroom teacher of Guangzhou International Kindergarten and the teaching director of a bilingual kindergarten. Christy grew up in different cultural backgrounds and therefore she is respectful and values the importance of multi-culture and she hopes that each child can develop their unique side under her education.

The course will be a mixture of story-based learnings and hands-on activities.

English: storytelling-we will focus on three to four different stories from the famous writer, Eric Carle. 

Mathematics: the children will cover aspects of the Cambridge curriculum, with differentiated activities according to age and ability. 

Art: children will focus on hands-on and art craft activities from these stories. 

Drama: based on Eric Carle’s stories, children will have fun in the role-play activity and children may perform the stories in their own ways.

Mr. Stuart Hallam graduated from Kind Alfred’s University with a BA honours degree in Education and Sport. He then completed the GTP (Graduate Teacher Programme) and taught in England for six years. Whilst teaching in the UK, Stuart completed the ‘Fast Track to Management’  and ‘Leadership Pathways’ courses, at the Department for Education, The National College. He has been teaching internationally for the past thirteen years, and his teaching has took him to Mongolia, Portugal, Egypt, Dubai, Russia (twice) and China (three times). He has taught every year group from Nursery to Year 6, aswell as, KS3 and lecturing sport at college. Stuart has worked in UK, Cambridge International, IB and Montessori curriculum schools. Stuart has a great interest in sport, he played football at a semi-professional level as well as representing his county at rugby.

Julie majored in Business English so she started her career as a merchandiser in an American company over 6 years.During this period,becaused of her son’s birth,she had strong interest in education,and then she obtained her teaching qualification through self study and then she worked as teaching assist in an English training center for more than one year.

Julie believes that every child is a shining star with an unique aspect that needs to be inspired.It’s important to encourge students,it’s more important for children to encounter setbacks in their learning enviroment. Julie will make all efforts to enlighten chidren’s heart with love and patience,grow up together and make process together with chidren.

Julie Li女士毕业于商务英语专业，毕业后去了一家美国公司工作了近7年。在这段时间内，因为儿子的出生，让她对教育产生了浓厚的兴趣，并在工作之余学习，自我提升并取得了教师资格证，随后进入英语教育机构做中教老师，在那工作了一年多。

The course will be a mixture of fun and academic activities;

Maths – the children will cover aspects of the Cambridge curriculum, with differentiated activities according to age and ability.

English – the children will focus on sentence structure, punctuation and story writing.

STEAM – the children will concentrate on the Science aspect of STEAM, and the children will carry out fun and safe, yet educational experiments.

Art – the children will look at 2 genres of art, and an artist from history, before learning and applying the skills associated with that artist/genre.

PE – the children will learn two new team games, one each week. We will learn the rules, the techniques used and apply the skills in games.

It’s her third year at BIS and she will be teaching secondary. She has approximately twenty-five years’ experience of teaching young people. In the past she has lived and worked in three other countries: Japan, Indonesia and Germany. Over a ten-year period. she enjoyed helping her students learn about the world and appreciate their classmates’ nationality and culture. Her aim is to help her pupils become informed and responsible young people who are well able to face the challenges of the 21st century.

“I am very happy to be here and look forward to helping your child achieve his or her best in all subjects. I endeavour to make lessons as useful, informative, enjoyable and inspiring as possible. In addition, I also try to include many different types of activity so that your child’s individual learning style is accommodated. Extra-curricular activities are also important as they help children discover new talents and make friends. I welcome parent input and am always happy to discuss your child’s progress or concerns.”

During this period, her works appeared in Los Angeles Times. After graduation, she worked as a news editor for Hollywood Chinese TV and a freelance photojournalist in Chicago. She interviewed and photographed Hong Lei, the former spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the current Chinese Consul General in Chicago. Daisy has 5 years experience in teaching Art&Design and art portfolio preparation for college admissions.

We create fun activities with engaging themes to teach a variety of stop motion skills and techniques. This also allows lots of scope for your imagination!

Mpho is an energetic teacher that strives to create a space for students to explore their own learning styles, and help to develop their interests and guide their absorption of the material.

Science fundamentally is the systematic study of the structure and behavior of the natural and physical world through observations and experiments. In exploring science students are going to conduct science experiments to take what was taught in theory and put it in real world situation by conducting different experiments on a daily bases, we are focusing on conducting experiments in biology, chemistry and physics. This gives the students a clear understanding of what has been taught to them in the classroom.

During the soccer camp we will work on individual skills, ball control, passing, and goal kicking. 

We will also learn about off the ball play, use of space, understanding the game and defense.

And we will complete the course with the development of conditional skills. Strength, speed, endurance and flexibility.

Each day will be divided into 2 sections, 1 for soccer and 1 for physical development.

Jacqueline enjoys creating a welcoming and fun learning experience and designing stimulating lessons that pique the students’ interests. During his studies in Australia, he worked as a volunteer teacher, helping to facilitate a variety of extracurricular programs at several local high schools in Sydney. In addition to studying Commerce, he also attended courses at the Sydney Theatre School, where he learnt practical performing skills and lots of fun drama games that he is excited to bring to his English classes. He is a qualified teacher with a high school English teaching certificate and has much experience in ESL teaching. You can always find rhythms, visuals and lots of fun energy in his classroom.

Want to try acting but have no prior experience? Give it a go with our two week Beginners Stage Acting Course! 

Conducted through games, activities and performances, the course will help kids build confidence and feel more at ease in front of an audience, whether in a classroom or social context, and introduce them to many of the basic tools actors use on stage and screen.

•Fun, group exercises and ensemble work

•Improve your self-confidence and presentation skills

•Understand how to use your own experiences to develop a character

•Essential techniques that professional actors use, including voice projection, body awareness and mentality of acting on stage, etc

•Work on scenes from a play that’s suitable for young learners

•Have a taste of Western style stage acting practices combined with Chinese traditional theatre(Peking Opera) ensemble

This course is run by Mr. Aaron. He receives professional theatre training from China and Australia, and has been part of the production of several domestic award winning plays. He has great passion for helping students further develop themselves through theatre education.

Thanks to technology, everyone(yes, even without prior music knowledge) can produce their own music like a legit musician on iPad. This course will guide you step by step from arranging chords, adding groovy beats, to ultimately creating some tasteful music under your own label. A piece of music work will be showcased to their peers and parents as a resultant product. 

This course is run by Mr. Aaron J., who is also an indie singer songwriter. Inspired heavily by R&B music, his work is full of energy he’d love to share with the audience. He is domestically known for some of his original songs including Home2Love, Malatang, etc. He has great passion for empowering students, as well as helping them find their life goal through music education.

Ms. Jasmine Zhao is from China. She graduated from Guangzhou University College of Music and Dance, majoring in music education. She also holds a high school music teacher certificate. She additionally studied Korean and English in college and has been to Ukraine as a volunteer language teacher. She loves music, dancing and acting, and will combine music, dance and acting in her teaching. After her undergraduate degree, Jasmine worked in drama schools and kindergartens, teaching music, dance and acting to children. Jasmine hopes to spread happiness through music lessons, so that each child can enjoy music and express themselves through music.

Jasmine老师来自中国，本科毕业于广州大学音乐舞蹈学院音乐学专业，并持有高中音乐教师资格证。在大学期间她掌握了韩语和英语，曾去过乌克兰做语言学校的志愿者老师。她喜欢音乐，跳舞和表演，会在教学中把音乐舞蹈和表演结合起来。本科毕业以后Jasmine在戏剧学校和幼儿园工作，教孩子们音乐，舞蹈和表演，深受孩子们的喜爱。Jasmine希望能通过音乐课传递快乐，让每个孩子享受音乐，并通过音乐表达自己。

We are born to enjoy music and express ourselves by dancing. Welcome to join our dance class! In here,we could make friends, play fun dance games and spend a great time together. We would also learn basic dance moves and stretch our bodies. At the end of course, you will be more confidence on yourself, improve your music performance and know a fresh dance. More important is, we will have lots of fun together. Let's sign up and create great memories together！
